Strength born to protect others.

This product uses scrap materials and other byproducts generated during Tokai Rika’s automotive seatbelt manufacturing process. These are materials that were produced to protect human lives but were never installed in vehicles.

What Remains Before We Take on a Role

During the manufacturing process of automotive seat belts, there are inevitably some leftover pieces that cannot be fully utilized. At THINK SCRAP, we collect these materials and, after checking their colors and condition, transform them into bags and small accessories.

Automotive-grade quality designed to last for over 10 years

The material used for seat belts is designed to last for more than 10 years in a car. The tensile strength of the material is approximately 3 metric tons (for reference). It also offers excellent light resistance and is durable enough to withstand long-term use.

本製品には、植物由来のタンニンで丁寧に鞣したイタリアンレザーを使用しています。環境負荷に配慮した製法で仕上げられた、天然皮革ならではの表情を持つ素材です。

植物由来のタンニンを使い、時間をかけて革を鞣すことで、革本来のしなやかさと風合いを引き出しています。自然な表情を残しながら、日常の道具に使える強さを備えた素材です。

使うほどに、手になじむ

手に取る回数を重ねるほど色艶が深まり、やわらかくなじんでいきます。しなやかさと強度を兼ね備え、カメラとの接続部分をしっかりと支えます。

革が持つ、自然な違い

天然皮革のため、色合いやシワ、表面の風合いは一点ずつ異なります。使い始めの表情と、時間を重ねた後の変化をお楽しみください。

資料

・For daily care, gently wipe off dust and dirt with a dry, soft cloth.
・If the seatbelt part is dirty, gently wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with water or diluted neutral detergent and wrung out thoroughly. Be careful not to get water or detergent on the genuine leather parts.
・If the genuine leather parts get wet, blot off the moisture with a dry cloth and allow them to air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
・When using genuine leather cream, test it on an inconspicuous area first to ensure there is no change in color or texture, and apply in small amounts.
・Avoid washing with water or using a washing machine.
・Avoid using irons, dryers, hairdryers, etc.
・Avoid using alcohol, bleach, benzine, thinner, etc., as these may cause discoloration or deterioration.
・Genuine leather may experience color fading or transfer due to water exposure or friction. Please be careful when wearing with light-colored clothing.
・When storing, avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures/humidity, and store in a well-ventilated place.
