Transforming seatbelts and tent fabric into bags for the city and the outdoors.

This body bag was created in collaboration with MIYAGEN Trail Engineering. By combining seatbelt offcuts with tent fabric, we have transformed industrial materials into a design suitable for both urban strolls and outdoor adventures.

Keep your city-walking essentials organized in wearable storage.

Transfer the small items you’ve been carrying in your pockets into the gusseted main compartment. You can keep everything you need while out in one place, ready to take with you for a walk around town or a shopping trip.

Adjust the hanging side and length to suit your grip.

The strap can be worn on either side and adjusted to your preferred length. The design allows you to choose the placement of the strap and bag to suit your outfit or carrying style.

For the little things you carry on days when you take the scenic route.

Walk through the city, stopping whenever something catches your eye. Wander off your planned route to peek into shops you’ve never seen before. For holidays where you don't plan your destination too strictly.

素材のこだわり

Seat Belt

Strength born to protect others.

This product uses scrap materials and other byproducts generated during Tokai Rika’s automotive seatbelt manufacturing process. These are materials that were produced to protect human lives but were never installed in vehicles.

What Remains Before We Take on a Role

During the manufacturing process of automotive seat belts, there are inevitably some leftover pieces that cannot be fully utilized. At THINK SCRAP, we collect these materials and, after checking their colors and condition, transform them into bags and small accessories.

Automotive-grade quality designed to last for over 10 years

The material used for seat belts is designed to last for more than 10 years in a car. The tensile strength of the material is approximately 3 metric tons (for reference). It also offers excellent light resistance and is durable enough to withstand long-term use.

About Individual Differences

Due to scuffs, creases, small scratches, and surface haze, the transparency and appearance of each piece vary slightly. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of industrial materials.

日差しと雨を受け止め、空間を守る。

本製品には、店舗や施設のテント、オーニングに使われる生地の端材を使用しています。屋外で使われることを想定してつくられながら、製造工程で残った素材です。

日差しや雨を受け止めるための生地

店舗や施設のテント、オーニングには、屋外で日差しや雨にさらされながら、長く空間を守る丈夫さが求められます。その製造過程で生まれた端材を、日常の道具へ生かしています。

ハリのある表情と、扱いやすさ

屋外テント用素材ならではのタフな質感と、ハリのある表情が特徴です。紫外線を遮る機能や耐候性を備え、樹脂コーティングによって水や汚れにも強い素材です。

端材を使用しているため、色味や質感、表面の擦れや色むらは一点ずつ異なります。素材が持つ個性としてお楽しみください。
