Tokai Rika's Upcycle Brand "Think Scrap" to be Sold at Pop-Up Shops

~ Contributing to SDGs by utilizing seatbelt offcuts generated from our own factory's production process ~

Tokai Rika Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Oguchi-cho, Niwa-gun, Aichi Prefecture; President: Hiromi Ninoyu; hereinafter "Tokai Rika") will sell "Think Scrap," a sustainable and upcycled product promoting SDGs, at pop-up shops in Tokyo and Aichi Prefecture.

◆ What is "Think Scrap"?

In 2022, "Think Scrap" was launched as an upcycle brand utilizing seatbelt offcuts that inevitably arise from our own factory's production process, starting with a simple pen case. Beginning with pen cases that leverage the smooth texture and durability of seatbelts, we then created various products based on ideas from employees and the president, such as golf round tote bags, shoe cases, and briefcases for carrying laptops.
"Think Scrap" offers a product lineup that can be used in a wide range of situations, from business to sports and daily use, regardless of gender or generation. For example, the pen case can be "used as a teaching material to raise children's awareness of SDGs," and the round tote and shoe case are for "golf players who want to be environmentally conscious." Tokai Rika's seatbelts are made from durable, strong, and flexible materials produced under strict standards to protect the safety of vehicle occupants, ensuring they can be used for a long time.
